Caregiving

What happens to the person you care for between repositioning

When someone you love spends most of the day in a wheelchair, their weight rests on the same few points hour after hour. One cushion keeps shifting it, even when you can’t be beside them.

The story

The task that’s easiest to fall behind on

Ask any caregiver what a day looks like and you’ll hear a list. Breakfast. Medications. An appointment. A call with the pharmacy. Laundry, lunch, a few minutes to sit down.

Somewhere in that list is repositioning: helping the person you care for shift their weight so it doesn’t rest on the same spots for too long. It matters. It’s also the easiest thing on the list to fall behind on, because nothing tells you it’s overdue until they’re uncomfortable.

A fixed seat keeps their weight concentrated under the hips and tailbone. The longer that load stays in one place, the more discomfort builds, and the harder long days in the chair become.

Foam and gel cushions make the seat softer, which is worth having. But the contact points stay exactly where they were. Relief still only arrives when someone shifts.

The problem

Hours in a wheelchair put pressure on the same spots

Regular repositioning helps, but it’s hard to keep up with around everything else you’re managing.

Repositioning is hard to keep up with

Between meals, medications and appointments, it’s tough to catch every shift.

How it works

Simple idea. Continuous pressure relief.

Static seating keeps pressure in the same places. HAPT® technology keeps redistributing it while they sit.

  1. 1

Place it on their wheelchair and switch it on

The cushion starts its automatic cycle. There’s nothing to install or adjust.

  2. 2

One set of cells supports them

Two independent air-cell circuits sit side by side. One supports them while the other releases.

  3. 3

    They swap every 60 seconds

The circuits trade places on a fixed cycle, moving contact points while they stay seated.

  4. 4

    Relief keeps going all day

The cushion keeps working while you focus on everything else caregiving asks of you.

What changes

Four things you’ll notice once they’re sitting on Ease

What caregivers tell us changes in the first weeks.

Relief between your check-ins

The cushion shifts pressure every 60 seconds, even when you’re in the other room.

Long days get easier for them

Pressure is redistributed throughout the day, making long hours of sitting more comfortable.

It stays put on their chair

The non-slip base helps keep the cushion in place during transfers and everyday movement.

Simple for you to manage

No installation and nothing to adjust. Place it, power it on, recharge with the included charger.

Against the alternatives

How Ease compares to foam and gel cushions

Foam and gel add padding. The Ease Cushion goes further by moving pressure for them, all day long.

Who is the Ease Cushion designed for?

Wheelchair users who sit for long periods and need active pressure relief, not just static cushioning. Many are bought by family members and professional caregivers.

Will it fit their wheelchair?

It comes in four sizes, S to XL (16" to 22" seats), and works on both manual and power wheelchairs. Use the size guide on the product page, or call our support team.

Will they feel the cushion moving underneath them?

The air cells alternate gradually on a 60-second cycle. The movement is gentle and automatic, so they don’t need to adjust their position.

How is it powered?

The cushion comes with a charger and can be charged and used without the battery. The optional battery is for extended use between charges.

How is this different from a foam or gel cushion?

Foam and gel provide static padding, so pressure stays in the same spots. The Ease Cushion actively alternates pressure between independent air-cell circuits.

Can I pay with my HSA or FSA card?

Yes. HSA and FSA cards are accepted at checkout. If you need documentation, give us a call.

What is the trial and return policy?

30 days from delivery to try it in their daily routine. If it isn’t right, returns are free with no restocking fee. It also includes a 1-year warranty.
