How is this different from a foam or gel cushion?
Foam and gel cushions spread weight out, but the pressure points themselves never move. HAPT® actively alternates which air cells carry the load every 60 seconds, so the same patch of skin isn’t under constant pressure all day.
Do we still need to reposition every two hours?
The Ease Cushion works continuously in the background so relief isn’t dependent on a turn schedule. Follow whatever care plan your patient’s clinician has set — call our team if you’d like to discuss how it fits alongside that plan.
Can it be used in a wheelchair and in bed?
Yes — the Ease Cushion is designed for wheelchair users and for patients who are bedridden. If your patient splits time between a chair and a bed, the complete system covers both.
Do I need a smartphone to use it?
The app is what unlocks full customization — firmness and cycle speed tuned to each patient. If you’d rather not use it, call us and we’ll walk you through the setup that works best without it.
