"I'm a retired physician. While I was still practicing as a doctor, I was the medical director of a well-regarded multi-disciplinary wound clinic. It's a little bit ironic that I ended up having wounds on my derriere. I've had multiple sclerosis for 40 years now. The first five years were spent in a wheelchair, and I didn't do very well. Currently, the pumps have lithium batteries, which are ideal for overnight charging every night, and they don't pick up any memory like the older battery devices used to. The other really important part is that you now have control over both pressure and time. It's actually good to vary that on a regular basis, as constant pressure can completely ruin your life with constant pain, a week or two or three in bed at the best of times, and hospitalization with potential plastic surgical grafting and control of infection can really become quite serious. Ease cushion has given me increased independence, both mentally and physically, for which I am very thankful. I'm sure there's an ancient Chinese proverb that says 'Happy but Happy life,' and that's very true.
